NEW ALBUM 'SIX' OUT NOW!

“Six” is the 3rd album from Oli Howe, his second body of work released on Bamboo Recordings, released 17/11/2024. The album explores high-energy live band performances, extreme feel-good vibes blurring the lines between jazz, fusion, RnB, gospel and hip-hop. The songs have a heavy focus on connection and togetherness, full of exciting improvisation, tons of inventive interplay, rich flowing soundscapes, powerful feel good harmony, and deep, soulful grooves.

'It's All Good' is an exciting new collaboration from Oli Howe (producer/composer/keys), with London trumpeter Jackson Mathod (trumpet), and multi-instrumentalist David Mrakpor (vibraphone), released 12th August 2022 on Bamboo Recordings.

Upon release, the track was added to several editorial playlists on Spotify and Apple Music including State Of JazzLofi Cafe, All New JazzJazz UkJazz Soul Cafe and more.

ABOUT OLI

After releasing his debut album 'Moving Forward' in 2020, Brighton based pianist/producer Oli Howe has been establishing himself a leading force amongst the dynamic UK jazz scene. Reaching over 3.8 million streams, four songs from the album were added to 'State Of Jazz', one of the biggest jazz playlists on Spotify, with Oli's previous alias 'HOWES3' making the sought-after cover for several weeks, as well as being added to 'Global Groove’ and many more editorial Spotify Playlists.

In 2022/23, Oli released a 6 track EP “Hackney Daze” on Bamboo Recordings, which amassed over 2.8 million streams on Spotify alone in just 6 months.

With ongoing support ranging from Yolanda Brown and Tony Minvielle at Jazz FM as well as Worldwide FM, Soho Radio, MiSoul Radio, Jazzwise, Earmilk, Trench, Somewhere Soul and New Generation Jazz in the UK, right through to Questlove, DJ Jazzy Jeff and Wicked Sounds in the US, Australia, Japan, Germany and beyond.

Oli has shared stages with the likes of Yoland Brown, Omar Lyefook, Tortured Soul, Freak Power, The House & Garage Orchestra, Billy Cobham and Taylor McFerrin while drawing sold out houses with headline shows at top UK venues such as Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club, Pizza Express Jazz Club, Brighton Jazz Festival and most recently Love Supreme Jazz Festival.

After releasing his debut album 'Moving Forward' in 2020, Brighton based pianist/producer Oli Howe has been establishing himself a leading force amongst the dynamic UK jazz scene.

The 'Moving Forward' album gathered great support from the likes of Questlove, Jazz FM, WorldWide FM, Soho Radio, Ear Milk, Somewhere Soul, Yolanda Brown, Tony Minvielle, to name a few.

Since releasing his 1st album 'Moving Forward' in 2020, more recently Oli has began working on new projects, releasing a new 6 track solo EP in 2022 called 'Hackney Daze', and in 2023 while touring and collaborating alongside artists such as YolanDa Brown, David Mrakpor, Jackson Mathod, amongst others, Oli released his 3rd album 'Six' on Bamboo Recordings.

Oli's videos and humorous reharmonisations of popular songs on his Instagram has amassed over 32,000 followers showing off his arranging, production and keyboard skills. Gaining the attention of musicians around the globe, his videos have also been praised by celebrities and artists including DJ Jazzy Jeff, Jill Scott and Sean Lennon.

Through his Instagram reach as well as recent collaborations with audio and tech companies such as RODE mics and Modal Electronics, Oli has also caught the attention of music students and universities around the globe. While touring the UK, he is now teaching masterclasses for various universities including BIMM Brighton, BIMM London, Royal Northern College of Music Manchester as well as running a wide variety of workshops and jazz courses in his hometown of Brighton, UK.

Since releasing his debut album 'Moving Forward' in 2020, Oli has established a strong live presence in the UK; he has shared stages with the likes of Billy Cobham and Taylor McFerrin while drawing sold out houses with headline shows at top UK venues such as Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club, Pizza Express Jazz Club and The Brighton Jazz Festival.

Oli's debut release has reinforced his position as a world-renowned pianist/composer, as well as a producer with his song 'Too Many Kicks' becoming a staple for learning in countless jazz conservatories around the globe.

Oli's music has put him firmly on the UK Jazz Scene map with support ranging from Jazz FM, Jazzwise and Earmilk in the UK right through to Questlove and Wicked Sounds in the US, Australia, Japan, Germany and beyond.

2024 begun with Oli's first show of the year supporting Sam Greenfield ( NYC) at Brixton Hootenanny to a sold out crowd.

Gearing up for his first ever overseas tour, Oli will be showcasing his abilities as a composer/producer as well as a pianist and performer blurring the lines between genres.

With strong influences from Brad Mehldau, Bill EvansOscar Peterson, and Thelonious Monk to modern players such as Robert Glasper, Cory Henry, Kiefer, Anomalie, and more, Oli Howe is preparing to make a lasting contribution to the global jazz scene.
